Funding stripes chart: a React and Figma chart in four sizes
What does a funding stripes chart show?
A funding stripes chart colours each period by the sign and size of a rate, so long stretches of one side paying the other read as bands. A price line on top shows what the market did meanwhile. Use it for perpetual funding rates and other signed rates over time.
Chartory ships it as a Figma component and a React component with the same name. The code installs from the shadcn registry with one command and lands in your project as a file you own.
What is the Funding stripes component?
It is one <FundingStripes> component. Its props are the Figma properties with the same names and values, and the props table above lists them. The data is a signed rate per period and the price.
Sizes XS, S, M and L re-lay the chart out from the data instead of scaling it, so labels stay readable at every size.
When should I use it?
- Is the sign the point? Yes means the funding stripes fit.
- Are there many periods? Yes means the funding stripes fit.
- Does a price belong with it? Yes means the funding stripes fit.
When does another type fit better?
- The size of the rate matters. Use Diverging bars instead.
- A few periods to compare. Use Diverging bars instead.
- The rate alone. Use Line chart instead.
