Props
<Renko>
Every prop but data is a Figma property with the same name and values.
RenkoData
The data prop: one object for the whole chart.
The data as a JSON Schema: schemas/renko.json
Renko chart: a React and Figma chart in four sizes
What does a renko chart show?
A Renko chart adds a brick only when the price moves by a set amount, so small noise disappears and trends read as clean steps. Time is left out of the spacing. Use it for prices where the size of the move matters more than when it happened.
Chartory ships it as a Figma component and a React component with the same name. The code installs from the shadcn registry with one command and lands in your project as a file you own.
What is the Renko component?
It is one <Renko> component. Its props are the Figma properties with the same names and values, and the props table above lists them. The data is a start price, a brick size and the up and down moves.
Sizes XS, S, M and L re-lay the chart out from the data instead of scaling it, so labels stay readable at every size.
When should I use it?
- Should small moves be ignored? Yes means the renko fits.
- Is the trend the point? Yes means the renko fits.
- Is it one price? Yes means the renko fits.
When does another type fit better?
- Every tick matters. Use Candlestick instead.
- The level over time. Use Area chart instead.
- Several series to compare. Use Multi-line chart instead.
