Reconciliation chart: a React and Figma chart in four sizes

What does a reconciliation chart show?

A reconciliation chart sets two lists side by side, such as a bank feed and a ledger, and draws a line for each match. Matches, amount differences and items with no match take their own colours. Use it for bank reconciliation and any two-source match.

Chartory ships it as a Figma component and a React component with the same name. The code installs from the shadcn registry with one command and lands in your project as a file you own.

What is the Reconciliation component?

It is one <Reconciliation> component. Its props are the Figma properties with the same names and values, and the props table above lists them. The data is two lists of items with amounts.

Sizes XS, S, M and L re-lay the chart out from the data instead of scaling it, so labels stay readable at every size.

When should I use it?

  • Are two lists matched? Yes means the reconciliation fits.
  • Is it item by item? Yes means the reconciliation fits.
  • Do the mismatches matter? Yes means the reconciliation fits.

When does another type fit better?

  • Steps between two totals. Use Waterfall instead.
  • Amounts between groups. Use Sankey instead.
  • Just two values per item. Use Dumbbell instead.

Reconciliation questions

Installing, data, Figma and plans.

  • Yes. It installs through the shadcn registry with the shadcn CLI, and the file lands in your project.
