Isochrone rings: a React and Figma chart in four sizes

What does an isochrone rings show?

Isochrone rings draw bands around a point for each stretch of travel time, then place stops in them, so on-time and late areas show by distance. Use it for depots, stores and service areas.

Chartory ships it as a Figma component and a React component with the same name. The code installs from the shadcn registry with one command and lands in your project as a file you own.

What is the Isochrone rings component?

It is one <IsochroneRings> component. Its props are the Figma properties with the same names and values, and the props table above lists them. The data is a centre, time rings and points.

Sizes XS, S, M and L re-lay the chart out from the data instead of scaling it, so labels stay readable at every size.

When should I use it?

  • Is there one centre? Yes means the isochrone rings fit.
  • Is time the distance? Yes means the isochrone rings fit.
  • Is it a map, not a list? Yes means the isochrone rings fit.

When does another type fit better?

  • Many places with values. Use Tile map instead.
  • A route in order. Use Route line instead.
  • Times per item as ranges. Use Dot strip instead.

Isochrone questions

Installing, data, Figma and plans.
