Rate dot plot

Each member's view, year by year.

Definition · Updated Nov 2, 2026

A rate dot plot puts one dot per person's forecast in each year, with the median marked, so agreement and spread show at once. Use it for rate projections, forecasts from a panel or any group estimate over a few periods.

  • One member's view for that year. Equal views sit side by side in a row, so a wide row means many members agree. The legend names member view and median.
